Points of Interest // Episode 2: The Grimaldi Service

"Given the current situation, isn’t it good to have something to laugh about?"

The second installment in our series of micro-documentaries exploring the esoteric, the obsessive, and the subcultures thriving in the margins. This time, we find ourselves in North London for the 80th anniversary of the Grimaldi Service.

Every year, clowns from across the country gather to honor the "Father of Clowning," Joseph Grimaldi. We spent the day with them to understand the weight behind the makeup and what it means to dedicate a life to the craft of laughter.

Featuring the clowns of the Grimaldi Service. A series by Otis Tree for Studio Sekoia.
